There's a kid you have in mind right now.
Maybe it's the one who shrinks at the lunch table. The one who can't sit still long enough to finish homework. The one who's tired of feeling like he can't handle things. Or the kid you know has more in there than she's showing anybody.
That's who this program is built for.

Most parents in West Jordan hear "martial arts for kids" and picture a karate school. That's the default around here, and there's nothing wrong with it.
But here's what boxing and kickboxing do especially well for a child.
They're honest. There's no memorized routine to hide behind. Your kid either understands what they're doing, or they don't — and a coach is right there to close the gap.
They demand focus in real time. A kid can't zone out. Something is happening in front of them, and they have to read it. That's not a metaphor for focus; it's the actual thing, practiced three times a week.
They build composure. This is the one parents don't expect and end up valuing most. Learning to stay calm and think clearly when someone's coming at you is a skill that transfers straight to a hard test, a tough conversation, and a hallway confrontation.
They burn the tank. Kids have energy. This spends it on something that requires their whole brain.
We teach real Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA — coached for kids, not watered down and not turned into a fitness class with gloves.
Underneath the techniques, we're teaching one thing: the fight formula — space, time, and collision.
Space is understanding where you are relative to another person. Time is understanding when things happen. Collision is where those two come together — and it only exists once a kid understands the first two.
That sounds advanced for a nine-year-old. It isn't. It's the actual foundation of knowing how to handle yourself, and it's what separates a kid who's memorized moves from a kid who genuinely understands what they're doing. We just teach it at the right level.
I know it's the first thing you're worried about, so let me be direct.
Kids never do full-contact sparring. Ever. Not as a graduation, not as a test, not as a reward.
There is no tough-guy culture in the training zone. Nobody is the king of this gym. If a kid wants to prove something, this isn't where they'll get to.
Every kid moves at their own pace. We take everyone through a process that develops skill while they stay comfortable — because an intimidated kid doesn't learn anything. They just survive the hour and dread coming back.
Our youngest train in a 30-minute Little Warriors class for ages 5–6, and the Kids program runs 7–11. That split isn't arbitrary: little kids need motor-skill work and a shorter class to stretch their focus, and when they're stuck in with much older kids, it breaks their confidence instead of building it. Kept with their own age, they get to be capable — which is the entire point.
The skills are the visible part. They're not the point.
Fabien stopped being bullied one week into training. Not because of anything he did — because of who he'd become.
The changes usually show up sideways. Focus at the homework table within weeks. A kid who used to melt down at hard things sitting with them a little longer. Determination that shows up somewhere you weren't expecting.
One of our parents, Ashley, described what her son Lucas gained: structure, respect, discipline, focus, and learning how to use his inner strength in different areas of his life. She watched his determination increase — he set goals and pushed himself inside and outside of class. The greatest part, she said, was the confidence.
That's the job. The Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA is just how we do it.
I'm Master Jason. I wasn't a confident kid — I was shy, quiet, insecure, and timid, and I'd battled a lack of focus since I was five that turned into a diagnosed learning disability.
Martial arts changed that. The Marine Corps sharpened it. I earned a spot on the All Marine Corps Fight Team — one of fifteen out of a tryout pool of seventy — and trained under coaches who taught me what I've spent 35+ years and 10,000+ students teaching: nobody changes alone.
That's why Level 8 is a team, not a gym. No mirrors. No treadmills. No solo workouts. Every session is partnered, coached, and corrected by people who actually want your kid to get better.
Ages: Little Warriors 5–6 (30-minute class) and Kids 7–11. Teens 12–17 have their own program.
Uniform: A simple Level 8 uniform — shorts and a t-shirt.
Rank: Yes, there's a ranking system, and every level is earned. Black belt level generally takes 3–4 years, depending on the student.
Contract: None. No long-term contract required to start.
Girls: Absolutely. Every program here is gender-friendly — every student is respected, learns at their own pace, and gets to become a warrior.

Will this make my kid aggressive? No — in my experience, the opposite. Kids who know they're capable have nothing to prove.
My child is really shy. Will they be overwhelmed? That describes a lot of kids on day one, including me. Coaching meets them where they are.
Is my kid too old to start at 10 or 11? No. They haven't missed anything.
Do they have to compete? No. Competition is a choice, never a requirement.
What if my kid doesn't like it? Then they don't like it, and no contract keeps you here. Come try a 7 day free trial and find out.
Come watch a class. Bring your kid. We'll meet them exactly where they are, and you can see for yourself.
